The Joining(Private)

Wave was in the Genesis headquarters in his throne room. It seemed like every member of Genesis was there in the one room but it was all for a very special occasion. It was for the initiation of a very important person into Genesis. This man wasn't the usually target for recruiting but he was still a notable member all the same. Wave held in his hand the sword he that housed his armor as he sat upon his throne.

Through the crowd you could see Wave's paths scattered throughout the room and you could also see all the other notable members. The only person who was missing now was the person who was supposed to be joining, King Roman Flames. King Roman was to be an amazing in the future with the proper guidance. This guidance would be given to him by Wave and one day Wave would make him better than what he was now.

As Wave stood from his throne every got on their knees and bowed in front of him. "People of Genesis, we have gathered today to bring someone into our ranks, our brotherhood, our family. King Roman Flames has given our organization a second place to call home. He has provided us with funding, and now we will return the favor to him by providing him with power and allies!" After that sentence everyone stood up and moved to either side of the room so that they could make a clear path for Roman to enter the room and go straight to Wave's throne.

Today is the day... The initiation of Roman Flames in joining the group known as Genesis. He characteristics is odd for him to be recruited in the group. His abilities is close to that of an ordinary human. Though, he's trained to take on most of average humans. He has skills in politics and is the current ruler of the Albastion Empire. Just recently, he had agreed in forming an alliance with Genesis, gave them a plot of land to create another base for Genesis, and also gave them funding for some of their exploits.

He had the impression, that the group was set on establishing peace in the world. It was why he had considered in allying with them. Though recently, he had begun to doubt in his decisions. He became wary of Sir Wave of Darkbright. In the beginning, Roman had thought that he could get along with the young god. Now, however, he question his methods and state of mind. He was capable of brushing off the deaths of others and continue as if they weren't relevant. Roman now became cautious around the young god or else it may affect the empire. He pray that he is doing the right thing.

Roman was behind a closed double and was waiting for his cue to enter the throne room and be initiated into Genesis. He could hear only silence before Sir Wave began his speech. He paid attention to his speech until he finally ended, which signaled the young king to enter and be initiated.

"For the empire...", he muttered to himself before he opens the closed double doors.

The young emperor entered the throne room through the double doors and made his way through the path that was made by the other members. Once he was before the young god, he respect him and kneeled before him. He waited for Sir Wave to continue with the ceremony.

As Roman walked through the door and into the throne room Wave smiled as if he was happy to see the young king. Roman kneeled when he got in front of Wave as a sign of respect, however Wave motioned for Roman to stand up. Once he would stand up Wave would begin to speak. "Welcome King Roman, here is what you must do in order to join us. The first thing is you must repeat after me and recite the pledge."

Wave would then place his sword on the alter in front of him as if he were blessing it. He would then clear his throat as he would begin to recite the chant so Roman would repeat after him. "I am my brother's keeper... I pledge my life and soul to this brotherhood... To a new life... A new world... Where all can live equal and free... Without fear..." Wave then walked closer to Roman as they finished the chant.

He turned his back to Roman to pick up his sword and after he picked it up he turned around. He pointed the sword at Roman and asked him a series of questions. "Roman Flames, do you vow to live and die by the code of Genesis? Do you swear to always stay loyal to the brotherhood and to never betray it or its secrets? If you agree to these things I welcome you to the brotherhood. As the closing to the ceremony I will use my powers of light and dark manipulation to conjure you a weapon based on your deepest desires. This requires me to thrust my blade through your heart however it will leave no scar or wound. Do you accept my offering for a new world?" Wave would then wait for a response from Roman before continuing onward.

Roman now stood before the young god. He was then told to repeat a chant by Sir Wave and he did so. "I am my brother's keeper... I pledge my life and soul to this brotherhood... To a new life... A new world... Where all can live equal and free... Without fear...", he recited as the words filled him with determination to do what he was saying.

He was then asked several question by Sir Wave, "I swear to live and die by the Code of Genesis. I swear to never betray it as well.", he answered. Sir Wave welcomed him into the group that will no doubt test his morals.

At first, he had thought that it was done. However, Sir Wave wish to grant the young emperor a weapon that is based on his deepest desire. Though, it require Sir Wave to impale the young ruler in the heart. He was then reassured by Sir Wave that it will not be fatal nor will leave any wounds. A weapon? He has no desire for any weapons. What he truly desires as a means to defend others.

"I accept your offering, Sir Wave.", he answered the young god.

Wave was pleased when Roman accepted his offering as he immediately stabbed him through the heart and infused his light and dark magic into his very being. This was something that Wave did to all the high ranking members of Genesis. "Roman hear my voice as we are now in your heart and soul. Roman you should now feel the dark and light energies in your body intensify. In order to create your weapon you must pick a side either light or dark. In my experience it is wisest for a person to pick the side that their morals stand against as it helps create a perfect balance."

After Roman would have made his choice Wave would remove the blade from his chest and go back to sit back on his throne. On the alter in front of Wave's throne would be Roman's weapon materializing. Wave would smile as he watched a pair of gauntlets form in front of them both. "Congrats Roman and welcome to the brotherhood. Im sure your father and your empire would be proud that you are helping us usher in a new era." Wave would then reach to the small table next to his throne and grab a chalice and drink in honor of Roman joining them.

When the blade pierced through his heart, Roman was no longer in the room he was in. The world he was in is none like any other he had seen. It reminded him of the Aether when he brought the Albastion Castle there. The world he's in was surreal. The world was engulfed in flames. To many, his world was destructive. However, to the young king, it was... majestic. For some reason, he felt that the flames were not meant to destroy, but to inspire. He just couldn't describe it in any more details.

However, his world changed. A bright light appeared before him, outshining the flames in the world he's in. The light felt... peaceful. Like all it wanted was to guide him. Just as he felt the presence of the light, he felt another presence. He couldn't describe well, but it felt... tempting. Looking behind him, he found a black void that acts as if it was his shadow. He couldn't understand was happening in this world.

"Roman hear my voice as we are now in your heart and soul. Roman you should now feel the dark and light energies in your body intensify. In order to create your weapon you must pick a side either light or dark. Morals? How can he determine which is suited for him? As a response to his thoughts, he heard "voices". From the void behind him, a feminine and seductive voice spoke to him. "Come to me, Roman Flames. I shall grant you the power to protect those you love. You desire for the safety of others. I can make you powerful for you to do so. The weak can't protect, only the strong can do so. Your enemies will never think of harming what is yours. Embrace me and I shall embrace you with power", she offered.

"Do not listen to temptation!", a feminine and elegant voice called out. "You do not need power to protect those you love. All you require is love and determination to protect them. Fear will only breed violence. The weak can still protect what they hold dear. Embrace me and I shall embrace you with my blessing.", she offered.

Feeling more compared to choose the light, he made his way into it. Although, the void had something to add. "Go on. Pick the light. I'll be waiting for you in the future.", the void stated ominously.

He was engulfed in light and he was back in the throne room before Sir Wave. On the altar, there was a pair of gauntlets that appeared to made of gold with runes engraved on it. He turn his attention back on Sir Wave who congratulate him on his initiation before drinking from a chalice.

"Yes, I'm sure my should be proud for what I'm doing for the empire.", he stated happily, though his thoughts went back to the void. Just what was going on with his soul? He wouldn't become corrupted, would he? No, he couldn't. His needed him to be benevolent an fair. The void will destroy everything that he would stand for. He pray that the void was wrong.
